UTICA, N.Y. – MMRI’s highly anticipated 1958 Gala will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at its new venue, the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. This premier fundraising event, presented by Adirondack Bank, will honor one of the area’s most influential leaders, Harold “Tom” Clark.

This year’s gala, chaired by Rocco Arcuri Sr. and Robert Clark, promises to be the most exciting yet. The move to a larger venue will allow for an expanded guest experience, providing more space to dine, dance and celebrate. Attendees will engage directly with MMRI scientists and learn about groundbreaking discoveries taking place right here in the Mohawk Valley.

“I am honored to serve as chair of this year’s 1958 Gala and thrilled that Adirondack Bank is the presenting sponsor,” said Rocco Arcuri Sr. “This event brings our community together in support of MMRI’s mission to advance lifesaving medical research that can impact countless lives, and it’s an effort I am truly proud to support.”

The 1958 Gala committee includes: Rocco Arcuri Sr., Robert Clark, Victoria Arcuri, John Brown, the Hon. Bernadette Clark, RoAnn Destito, Joannie Grande, Rebekah Hedeen, Nicole Knoblock, Dr. Maria Kontaridis, Aricca Lewis, William Locke, Alanna Magdon, Millie Occhionero, Ellie Picente, Carrie Putelo, Dr. Juleen Qandah, Francesca Romano, Shane Tinney, Symeon Tsoupelis and Joanne Wade.

Proceeds from the gala directly support MMRI’s critical research efforts in cardiovascular disease, lupus, PTSD, autism and more. These funds help accelerate scientific discovery, advance new treatments and bring hope to individuals and families affected by complex and life-altering diseases both locally and beyond.
