Health and Science Made Simple: MMRI Launches Free Seminar Series
In a world overflowing with information, separating fact from fiction can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to health and science. MMRI is excited to announce the launch of its new seminar series, Health and Science Made Simple, in collaboration with Mohawk Valley Living. The six-part series will debut in 2026 and explore today’s most pressing health topics. It is designed to bring health and science to the community in a clear, accessible and engaging way, while exploring trending health topics through panel discussions with MMRI scientists and local medical and academic professionals. The public is encouraged to submit questions online prior to the series and will also have the opportunity to participate in the discussion on the night of the event.
The series will be held at MMRI, where attendees will have the opportunity to network and take a guided tour of MMRI’s state-of-the-art facility. It is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation at the door. Attendees are encouraged to register HERE, though walk-ins will be welcome if space allows.
The first panel discussion of the series is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2026, with additional seminars scheduled throughout the year. The first topic, The Ozempic Effect: Unpacking the Scientific & Societal Impact, will feature Maria Kontaridis, Ph.D., executive director, Gordon K. Moe Professor and chair of biomedical research and translational medicine at MMRI, and Michael Kelberman, M.D., a cardiologist at Central New York Cardiology. Each session invites the community to learn, engage and build meaningful connections around science and wellness. For the latest seminar dates and speaker lineups, click HERE.
