Thank you to all who supported the fourth annual MMRI Golf Classic fundraiser and "Sal"ebration Fiesta at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, New York, on Thursday, August 27, 2026! Our event was a huge success thanks to your generosity!

This meaningful event marked the third tournament held in honor of Sal Raspante, a beloved member of the Utica community.

Friends, family, and supporters gathered at the Yahnundasis, united in a shared commitment to advancing lifesaving research. Proceeds from the Golf Classic and "Sal"ebration Fiesta directly support MMRI’s heart disease research, including work focused on adult-stage heart failure, cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, embolisms, and other cardiovascular conditions, accelerating discoveries that lead to better treatments and improved outcomes for those affected by heart disease.

Our Friend Sal

Sal Raspante, a devoted MMRI supporter and friend, passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023, from a heart attack. His vibrant spirit, generous heart, and love for life continue to inspire us all.

MMRI's Golf Classic and "Sal"ebration Fiesta was a chance to celebrate everything Sal loved: golf, friends, family, and a great party!

According to the American Heart Association, someone in the United States dies of cardiovascular disease every 34 seconds. At MMRI, we are working hard to change these statistics. All proceeds raised benefit MMRI’s cardiovascular research.
