4th Annual Golf Classic - August 27, 2026

MMRI’s fourth annual Golf Classic will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, New York. Presented by The Fountainhead Group, this meaningful event marks the third tournament held in honor of Sal Raspante, a beloved member of the Utica community who lost his life to a sudden heart attack.

As friends, family, and supporters gather on the course, they do so with a shared commitment to advancing lifesaving research. Proceeds from the Golf Classic will directly support MMRI’s heart disease research, including work focused on adult-stage heart failure, cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, embolisms, and other cardiovascular conditions, accelerating discoveries that lead to better treatments and improved outcomes for those affected by heart disease.

Our Friend Sal

Sal Raspante, a devoted MMRI supporter and friend, passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023, from a heart attack. His vibrant spirit, generous heart, and love for life continue to inspire us all.

MMRI's Golf Classic is a chance to celebrate everything Sal loved: golf, friends, family, and a great party! Let’s tee off in Sal spirit and keep the party going, just the way he would’ve wanted!

According to the American Heart Association, someone in the United States dies of cardiovascular disease every 34 seconds. At MMRI, we are working hard to change these statistics. All proceeds raised will go toward MMRI’s cardiovascular research.
