June 15, 2023

New research in nano-immunotherapy offers new possibilities in the treatment of atherosclerosis, which is a thickening or hardening of the arteries caused by a buildup of plaque. The work of two scientists, an MMRI researcher and MMRI affiliated faculty member, was featured in a news video by WKTV of Central New York. Dr. Khanh Ha, the MMRI Predoctoral Research, Postdoctoral Affairs Program Coordinator, and Dr. Max Majireck, an Affiliated Faculty member at MMRI and Associate Professor of Chemistry at Hamilton College, received a grant of $154,000 from the American Heart Association to shed new light on this crucial area of research.
